Townsend Planning Board LEGAL NOTICE (revised)

   The Townsend Planning Board will hold a public hearing on February 23, 2026, at 6:35 PM in Selectboard Chambers in Memorial Hall, 272 Main Street, Townsend, MA, in accordance with MGL Chapter 40A and the Townsend Zoning Bylaw.

   The hearing concerns an application by Lawrence “Skip” Provost for modification of Site Plan Approval under Zoning Bylaw §145-86. The requested changes involve removal of vegetative screening south of the access road and along West Meadow Road, along with associated conditions from the original permit for the ground-mounted solar installation known as Lock Brook Solar, located at 22 West Meadow Road (Assessor’s Map 4, Block 15, Lot 0) in the RA3 Zoning District and Aquifer protection overlay district.

   The hearing will be held in person with a virtual Zoom option. Full remote access details will be posted at least 48 hours prior on the Town’s website (www.townsendma.gov) under the Upcoming Events Calendar.

Written comments may be submitted prior to the hearing; public comments will also be accepted during the hearing. The application is on file with the Town Clerk and Planning Board for public review.
