TOWNSEND PLANNING BOARD LEGAL NOTICE

   In accordance with MGL Chapter 40A, Townsend General Bylaw Chapter 85: NPDES Phase II Stormwater Management and Chapter 175: Article V Stormwater Regulations, the Planning Board will hold a public hearing Monday, February 23, 2026 at 7:50 p.m., in the Selectboard Chambers at Memorial Hall, 272 Main Street regarding an application received from Susan Byrne proposing land disturbance of 46,097 sq ft including 7,829 sq. ft of steep slopes (>15%) at the property at 53 West Meadow Road. Assessors Map 4 Block 34 Lot 0, RB2 Zoning District.  The amount of material proposed to be removed is above the threshold requiring a major Stormwater Management Permit. 

The hearing will be held in person with a virtual Zoom option. Full remote access details will be posted at least 48 hours prior on the Town’s website (www.townsendma.gov) under the Upcoming Events Calendar.

Written comments may be submitted prior to the hearing; public comments will also be accepted during the hearing. The application is on file with the Town Clerk and Planning Board for public review.
