   At its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 7:00pm in the Town Hall Second Level, The Townsend Conservation Commission will review a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) regarding the upgrade of the current septic system through the installation of a PRESBY-type system. Request submitted by Dillis and Roy Civil Design Group on behalf of the owners Mark & Nicole Laviolette from 18 Coppersmith Way, Townsend MA 01469.  Work will take place within the 100ft Buffer Zone.     The Town of Townsend is hereby soliciting sealed bids for the Squannacook River Rail Trail Sidewalk Project on Main Street (Route 119).  Bids will be open at the Office of the Board of Selectmen at the Townsend Town Hall on July 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M.  Bids received after such time will not be accepted.  Sealed envelopes containing bids must be clearly marked in accordance with the Bidding Contract Requirements.  Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price.

The Townsend Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing on June 12, 2024, 7:35pm to consider a Notice of Intent filed by Meisner Brem Corp. and owned by Kevin O`leary for property located at 2 Capricorn Ln Townsend MA, Map 53, Lot 50.4. The project proposal consists of the re-development of an existing single-family house. The existing deck in the rear of the house will be removed. An addition will be added to the house, and a new deck will be constructed. Work will take place within the 200-ft Riverfront Area of Witch Brook, and the 100-ft buffer zone of a bordering vegetated buffer. This hearing is being conducted jointly in accordance with the mandates of MGL Ch. 131 §40, as amended, and the Townsend Wetlands Bylaws and Regulations.
