Pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Townsend Wetlands Bylaw, the Townsend Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at approximately 7:35 pm. The hearing will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and in person at Town Hall, on a Notice of Intent (NOI) filed with the Conservation Commission by Brad Hawn.   The Town of Townsend is hereby soliciting sealed bids for the Main Street (Route 119) Sidewalk Construction Project (formerly Squannacook River Rail Trail Connectivity Project).  Bids will be received at the Office of the Board of Selectmen at the Townsend Town Hall until October 23, 2024 at 11:00 A.M, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.  Bids received after such time will not be accepted.  Sealed envelopes containing bids must be clearly marked in accordance with the Bidding Contract Requirements.  Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price.
