TOWN OF TOWNSEND CONSERVATION COMMISSION

LEGAL NOTICE

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Townsend Wetlands Bylaw, the Townsend Conservation Commission will hold a work session on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 during their 7:40pm meeting. The work session will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and in person at Town Hall, on a Request for Determination of Applicability filed with the Conservation Commission by Nashua River Watershed Association. The property is located at 42 & 22 West Meadow Rd (Assessor’s Map 4, Parcel 16 & Assessor’s Map 4, Parcel 15). 

The proposed project is to plant ~325 native bare root tree or shrubs seedlings along Locke Brook, which runs through two abutting properties located at 42 West Meadow and 22 West Meadow Road. All work will take place within 200 feet of Locke Brook.

Parties wishing to speak in support of, or in opposition to, this application may do so at the meeting or in writing prior to the meeting. Copies of this application are available for review at Town Hall during business hours.
