TOWN OF TOWNSEND CONSERVATION COMMISSION

LEGAL NOTICE

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Townsend Wetlands Bylaw, the Townsend Conservation Commission will hold a work session on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 during their 8:30pm meeting. The work session will be held virtually via Zoom meeting and in person at Town Hall, on a Request for Determination of Applicability filed with the Conservation Commission by Town of Townsend. The right of way section is located from 80 Main St to the intersection of South St & Main St. 

The proposed project is for the construction of sidewalk to connect the Squannacook River Rail Trail and other existing sidewalk under MassTrails Grant from 80 Main St to the intersection of South St/Main St to tie into the existing sidewalk. The work will cross over a culvert crossing and through Riverfront Area and BLSF.

Parties wishing to speak in support of, or in opposition to, this application may do so at the meeting or in writing prior to the meeting. Copies of this application are available for review at Town Hall during business hours.
