REQUEST FOR HAYING BIDS
The Groton Conservation Commission is requesting bids for the haying of a one-acre field located on Longley Road, Groton, MA 01450 (Groton Assessors Map 225-31). Bids shall be made by individuals with experience in farming and agricultural management. Proposals should include the types of equipment to be used, any anticipated soil amendments or chemical use, and expected harvest. The Commission expects to enter an agricultural and farming agreement for the management of this property for a three-year period, subject to approval at Town Meeting.
Interested individuals should submit a written proposal, including bid amount, for the haying of the parcel to the Groton
Conservation Commission, 173 Main St., Groton, MA 01450 by Friday, October 18th, 2018 by 12:00 p.m. Additional information is available from Nikolis Gualco, Conservation Administrator, at 978-448-1106 or at the Commission office in Town Hall. The Groton Conservation Commission will award the bid to the highest responsible and responsive bidder.
