SPORTS: Groton Country Club Update; Tournament Schedule

Building on the success of the first ladies clinic held early this spring, a second is scheduled for July 21st with GCC Ping Rep, LeAnna Wicks. LeAnna played on the LPGA tour for two years after she played her collegiate golf at Michigan. Cost is $10, same fun, some tasty snacks, penciled in for July 21st.

PGA golf professional Jim Tennant, had a visit with a Golf Division industry friend who made some strong recommendations to make the course more enjoyable. "He gave me suggestions that we can implement that should show nice improvement by the end of July, early August."

"When I heard about GCC in the PGA position announcements, I wanted to give Groton a try. The opportunity to play and work together was the draw for me. Little did I know this amazing golf community existed," said Tennant.
