GD 4, Fitchburg 1-GD senior Alyssa Ash allowed three hits while recording 13 strikeouts, including her 300th career strikeout. Annika Liljegren had an RBI single for the Crusaders.
BASEBALL
GD Split Doubleheader: Game 1-GD 2, Tyngsborough 1; GD's Matt Werner (7-11) scored from second on a ground ball out in the home half of the eighth to give GD 2-1 win over Tigers (10-9) in the first game of a doubleheader.

Nicki Wilkinson tallied her 100th point of the season scoring three goals with two assists. Liz Rubeski added four goals and four assists while Livy Penney added 4goals and 1 assist. Sara Walsh had three goals as the Crusaders (11-7, 6-6 Midland A) over whelmed Wachusett, (4-14, 1-11).
BOYS LACROSSE GD 12, Wachusett 2-Groton-Dunstable (9-8) tuned up for the post-season with a 12-2 win over Wachusett (11-9). Senior Quintin Forbes (3 goals, 4 assists), Austin Hourani ( 4 goals) Ryan Dodge and Tristan Lynch had 2 goals each. Keeper PJ Kendall made 8 saves
