GIRLS BASKETBALL

GD 45, Hudson 33

Co-Captains Lindsay Werner (13 pts.) and Celina Antonellis (11 pts.) led the Crusaders in a win over the Hawks (2-7, 0-3). Hannah Van Pelt (7 pts.), Jenna Plausse (8 pts.), Melyssa Langell (4 pts.) and Alex Pray (2 pts.) rounded out the Crusaders balanced offensive effort. Hudson's Kaylee Cummings (13 pts. 8 rebs) and Jennifer Kallin (11 pts, 14 rebs) had strong games but the Crusaders' depth made the difference.

Drew Moore tallied 17 points and Bobby Flanagan added 12 points and five rebounds for Crusaders (3-4, 3-0 Midland B). Eleven players scored for GD including Corey Romich (10), Scott Csaplar (4 pts. 8 rebs.), Kevin Keough (5), Matt Werner (5), Cedric Wirta (4), Jack Wadden (5), Ronnie Peck (2), Parker Blodgett (2) and Eric Parson (2).  Joao Mendes led the Hawks (0-8, 0-3) with 11 points. Westborough 63, GD 51         

Connor Fitzgerald (17 pts), Brendan Kilcoyne (16pts.) Colin Donovan (11 pts), and Dan Orlando (12pts.) led host Westborough past the Crusaders, 63-51. Corey Romich (9pts.) Scott Csaplar ( 8 pts.), Matt Tornaritis (6 pts.) and Drew Moore ( 6 pts.) were the leading scorers for GD who led 29-26 at the half. Record: GD (3-5, 3-1 Midland B); WHS (3-6, 3-0).
