Boys Basketball

Visiting Groton-Dunstable (2-4, 1-0 Midland B) made it two in a row with a 55-48 win over Quabbin (4-2, 0-1). The Crusaders made their fouls shots, 14 of 19 in the second half, including four each from Corey Romich and Scott Csaplar in the final minutes. Romich (17 pts), Matt Tornaritis (10 pts.), Jack Allen (7pts.) and Scott Scaplar (6 pts.) led the Crusaders scoring while Dylan Kierman (15 points) and Colin Bennett added 11 points for Quabbin.

Ski Team

Groton Dunstable Regional High School participated in the 1st downhill ski race of the season in the Mass Bay West Alpine Ski Race League, Alpha Division on Jan 7 at Nashoba Valley Ski area. The format was GS. The league consists of Lowell, Chelmsford, Newton South, Belmont, GD, Harvard/Bromfield, Westford, Acton Boxboro.

Team results: GD Varsity Boys team placed 4th out of 8 teams, and GD Varsity Girls placed 4th out of 8 teams.  Individual results: The top GD Girls placed as follows: Alissa Johnson-10th, Noelle Johnson 17th, Katie O'Brien 20th (out of 73 girls in the league). The top GD Boys placed as follows: Sam Tellier - 14th, Matthew Goulding 15th, Bryan Heffernan 24th (out of 86 boys in the league).
