Run, Crawl, Jump and Swim

Roughly 500 competitors had to "run, crawl, jump and swim" and overcome a variety of obstacles. All finishers received a medal and prizes were awarded to top athletes - a precedent that lives on today.
Currently, Spartan Races attract thousands of athletes. There are conflicting arguments regarding year of the first race ranging from 2004, the Spartan Death Race in 2005 and another in 2007. No matter. Thousands of men and women around the country, in various degrees of fitness, participate in this new craze!
