Girls State Division 1 Swimming Championships

"This has been the best season yet for the Tyngsborough/Groton-Dunstable Swimming and Diving team," said assistant coach Jen McGlauflin. "Two years ago we didn't even have anyone to represent the team at Sectionals or States. This year, the boys stepped up as a team and were awarded the MIAA State Sportsmanship Award, an honor awarded by fellow coaches in the State," continued McGlauflin. "The girls placed 10th in the Central/ South Sectionals and 14th at Division 1 States. They practice hard in the pool and captains Cam Thirkell and Heather Bonnett have worked diligently to bridge the two schools into one cohesive team. Head coach Dan Shanahan and I couldn't be more pleased.
