The GDRHS Unified Basketball team

The GDRHS Unified Basketball team faced the G-D Fire/Police team in a game held at the high school on Monday evening and came out with a victory! G-D Unified Sports has been around for more than a decade, with this being the 6th year of the special police/fire game. Unified Sports is all about inclusion and acceptance. Having this event every year brings the community together to support our team, local law enforcement, and clubs within the school such as chamber, the cheerleading team and Best Buddies. The gym was nearly full with students, teachers and parents supporting this event. It was such a fun night to cheer on each other and show the community what inclusion is all about! This year's Unified coaches are teachers Hannah Vella and Angus MacDonald.   Photo courtesy of Nancy Ohringer.
