Crusaders Lax Men Fall to Grafton

In Central Mass. Division 2 boys' lacrosse action, No. 2 Grafton defeated No.10 seed Groton-Dunstable 16-7. The Crusaders (12-10) did not have an answer for the Indians' two-time All-Americans Bryan Rotatori (3 goals, 9 assists) and Tyler Reilly (6 goals, 1 assist).

Both Austin Hourani and Quintin Forbes had three each for the Crusaders and senior Matt Manning (1 goal, 2 assists) but Grafton keeper Eric Thompson (15 saves ) was equal to the challenge.

Grafton (18-3) faced No.3 Shrewsbury (17-5) Tuesday, June 4 in the Semi-finals and held a 2-1 advantage at the half.  The Colonials kept Rotatori and Reilly off the board in the opening half while Joey Buduo had both goals for Colonials. Grafton came on after the break taking a 7-3 lead late in the game.

No. 1 St. John's (18-3) ousted two time defending C-Mass. Champs, No. 5 Algonquin (16-7) by a score of 8-6 and will face Grafton Saturday for the MIAA C-Mass Division 2 title.
