Ash Throws No-Hitter!

Groton-Dunstable's Alyssa Ash threw her first career no-hitter. The senior pitcher was dominant, striking out eight with no walks as the Crusaders (4-5, 2-2 Midland B) overwhelmed visiting North Middlesex (1-5, 1-2), 8-0.

Ash took a perfect game into the fifth when the first patriots reached base on a throwing error. Alyssa went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a home run and double. Teammates Rose O'Malley went 3-for-3 with a run and Laura Bieren went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
