DON'T FORGET: Fall Town Meeting Oct. 20; And Register to Vote in November State Election

Groton's Fall Town Meeting will be held beginning Monday, Oct. 20 at the Performing Arts Center located in Groton-Dunstable Middle School South, 344 Main St. Town Meeting is open to all registered voters of Groton. REGISTER AND VOTE IN STATE ELECTION COMING UP

The voter registration deadline for the November 4 state election is Wednesday, Oct.15 at 8 PM. This deadline applies to new Groton voters only. Currently registered voters do not have to re-register. You must be 18 years old by election day to vote in this election.

The Nov. 4 state election features races for statewide and federal offices, including Governor , Lt. Governor and Attorney General. The ballot also has four initiative petition questions, including eliminating gas tax indexing, expanded beverage container deposits and prohibitions on gaming and earned sick time for employees.

Absentee ballots are available. Monday, Nov. 3 at 12 noon is the last day and hour to request an absentee ballot.
