National History Honors For Two From Groton
Two recently graduated eighth graders from Applewild School in Fitchburg won national honors at the National History Day finals held in June at College Park, MD.
Jack Horsman Left) of Groton, with a partner, received recognition as the Best Junior Division (grades six-eight) Group Website in the state of Massachusetts. Their website was entitled "Conflicting Rights and Responsibilities During the Cuban Missile Crisis."
Daniel Sullivan (right) of Groton was a National Finalist (#14) in the Junior Individual Website category for his project on "The 1972 Munich Olympics: The Darkest Day in Olympic History."
