Groton-Dunstable High School Ranked One of America's Best by Newsweek

This year Newsweek's highlights the best 2,000 public high schools in the nation-those that have proven to be the most effective in turning out college-ready grads.

It is important not to place to much stock in rankings, but we should recognize the recent honor by Newsweek Magazine. Newsweek ranked GDRHS 12th in the state of Massachusetts and 388th in the country. Approximately the 3 percentile in Massachusetts and the 1 percentile in the country.

The following criteria was used to select the list. The list is based on six components: graduation rate (25 percent), college acceptance rate (25 percent), AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student (25 percent), average SAT/ACT scores (10 percent), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10 percent), and percent of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course (5 percent).
