2013 Groton Scholarship Application Notification

Groton Scholarship Committee is seeking well-rounded applicants in need of financial assistance for college. Over the last 10 years, Groton Scholarship Committee has awarded more than $70,000 to graduating high school seniors. Grants are typically in the amount of $500 or $1000.

The committee is currently raising funds for the 2013 awards, hoping to exceed last year's award levels through the generous, tax-deductible contributions of Groton residents and local businesses. The awards will apply to the fall semester of college (2013), and will be distributed pending students' successful completion of that semester.

The committee seeks applicants who demonstrate scholastic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities and community service, good character, and who are going on to pursue their academic career at a two-year or four-year accredited institution. Applicants must be Groton residents but may attend any public or independent high school to be eligible.

Applications are available at Town Clerk's Office at Groton Town Hall, as well as at the guidance offices of Groton-Dunstable Regional High School, Nashoba Valley Technical High School, Francis Parker School, Lawrence Academy, and Groton School. Applications for the scholarships must be submitted to Groton Town Hall by May 3, 2013.
