Ronald Englade

Ronald Englade, age 80, a resident of Media, PA, died at home on Friday, June 10, 2022 surrounded by family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Born February 19, 1942, he spent his formative years in New Orleans. He obtained a B.S. degree in Physics from MIT and Ph.D in Physics from the University of Chicago.

Groton was his home for some 40 years.  He served on the Finance and School Committees as well as being a Selectman in the town.  Most of his professional life was as a Research Scientist at MIT working on plasma fusion. He also served as a Legislative Aide to a MA Congressman working at the State House in Boston.

   Ron was an avid reader and read the New York Times cover to cover, every day. He enjoyed playing golf, watching football, and was a huge fan of the Patriots and Tom Brady.

   Mr. Englade is survived by his wife of 55 years, Regina (nee Pocius) Englade; daughters Alison Keith (Stuart) of Haddonfield, NJ and Emily Jauregui (Jay) of Wallingford, PA; six grandchildren Gillian, Miranda, Aaron, Jaden, Theo and Eliza; along with many close friends.
