Volunteers to Mentor in Prison

Volunteer with prison Toastmasters programs at institutions near Rtes. 2/495 and in Gardner Mon. -Thurs.  evenings.

 Incarcerated people practice skills to prepare to return to the community, Volunteers make a difference through encouragement and mentoring. More than 90 percent of all incarcerated people return to the community.

Prospective volunteers must enjoy teaching, speaking extemporaneously, and encouraging others to set and achieve goals. Training is provided by Dept. of Corrections and by participating in prison Toastmasters program. Volunteers expected to mentor at least two meetings a month. People new to Toastmasters are welcome to volunteer.
