Violin Concerto Will Highlight All-Mendelssohn Concert at OIH
The works of composer Felix Mendelssohn are in the spotlight when Maestro Bruce Hangen conducts Orchestra of Indian Hill Sat., Nov. 14, 7:30 pm at Littleton High School, 56 King St., Littleton. Program features Mendelssohn's Third Symphony and Violin Concerto with guest soloist Juliette Kang, First Associate Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Kang was a former Assistant Concertmaster of Boston Symphony and a member of Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. She has been guest soloist with the Vienna and Baltimore Chamber Orchestras, Orchestre National de France, Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México; Orchestra of St. Luke's; and the Symphonies of San Francisco, Baltimore, Syracuse, Omaha, Detroit, Vancouver, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Toronto, Houston, Montreal, Singapore, and Kyushu (Japan), among others.
