QUILTS: 1842 to Present and 100 Squares
HANDWORKS GALLERY IN ACTON
Fifty quilters have together made 100, themed quilt squares 6.5 x 8 inches that have been temporarily assembled into display quilts representing each of the four seasons and our lives' transformations. These works are on display Oct. 4-26 at Handworks Gallery of American Crafts, 161 Great Road Acton, 978-263-1707.
There will be a reception, Sunday, Oct. 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. This collaborative project organized by Handworks Gallery celebrates National American Craft Week with sales and a raffle raising money for the Craft Emergency Relief Fund.
LITTLETON FIRST CHURCH UNITARIAN
"Quilts Around the Town, Past to Present" will be held Friday Oct. 17, 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday Oct. 18, 10 am to 4 pm at First Church Unitarian, 19 Foster St., Littleton. Eighty quilts from 1842 to the present will be displayed in honor of Littleton's 300th anniversary. Admission is $5. The building is handicap accessible.
