Paintings & Photographs by Janet Clingerman Hsiao and Ku-chuan Hsiao

The beauty of New England is the inspiration for Janet Clingerman Hsiao's artwork - ocean scenes, floral paintings, and small bird portraits. Janet's style has been most influenced by the American Impressionists.

Ku-chuan Hsiao is a genetic engineer; it was quite by accident that he began his journey into bird/small animal photography. Ku-chuan developed methods for photographing the birds in-flight so that the lovely fluid detail in the design of the wings could be seen.

Their works will be on display at Lawrence Library, 15 Main Street, Pepperell starting with the opening reception Saturday, Oct. 11 from noon to 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, sponosored by Friends of the Library. For more information, call the library at 978-433-0330 or go to
