The Groton Historical Commission, in an effort to highlight the extensive built heritage in Groton, has begun a pilot of a historic plaque program. Shown here is a plaque installed as part of the pilot at 228 Main Street for Jim and Claudia Desrosiers. It highlights that the house was home to two long-time Groton blacksmiths, Calvin Childs and Thomas Bywater. The Commission will make more information about the program available soon.
