Roger Temple was honored at a surprise party given by his "upper" Skyfields Drive neighbors on his 90th birthday, Friday, October 1. He really enjoyed the company and the evening. The sky even turned on a performance for him at sunset. Then the "lower" Skyfields Drive neighbors threw a small outdoor party on Saturday afternoon. Photo courtesy of Anne Larsen
The Groton Explorer Post #4879 participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness walk in Nashua last Saturday. The members completed the 2.2 mile walk in full EMS turnout gear including air packs. The Post was recognized by the organizers for signing up only eight days before the event, but still raising over $4,000 for the cause.
