Succulent Garden Club Workshop

Groton Garden Club members were treated to a special workshop with Art Scarpa where they planted a succulent dish garden under his expert guidance.

Using a terra cotta dish, Scapra had members fill the pot with his special recipe soil, a large variety of heirloom plants and topping the garden with hand-selected decorative stones.

Known for his expertise in growing succulents and for his love for unusual plants, Art is certified as a judge by the Cactus and Succulent Society of America and has competed and judged at numerous major shows, including Boston, Newport and Philadelphia and many regional cactus and succulent shows. He lectures about cacti, succulents, mini plants, and winter indoor growing plants to garden clubs and other horticulture-related associations.
