PB Hearing on SB Proposal to Allow Retail Marijuana Sale in Groton

Proposed Zoning Amendments
for Marijuana Retail Establishments
In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 40A, §§ 5 and 11, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall, 173 Main Street, to consider zoning amendments proposed by the Select Board to allow the retail sale of marijuana in the Town of Groton. The proposed amendments would expand the list of marijuana establishments that may be allowed by special permit in the General Business and/or Industrial zoning districts to include the following: product manufacturer, retailer, transportation or distribution facility, and any other type of licensed marijuana related business.
     Copies of the proposed zoning amendments are on file in the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Further, a signed translation of this public hearing will be provided for the hearing impaired upon request by contacting the ADA Coordinator at (978) 448-1105 at least one week prior to the hearing.

In accordance with the provi- sions of M.G.L., Chapter 40A, §§ 5 and 11, and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thurs- day, September 23, 2021 at 7:15 PM in the Town Hall, 173 Main

Street, to consider the proposal to rezone five adjoining parcels of land with a common address of 500 Main Street from General Business (GB) to Multi-Family Development (MFD), pending approval of the new MFD zoning district proposal. The subject parcels consist of approximately 36.5 acres and are shown on As- sessors’ Map 216 as Parcels 94, 95, 96, 97, and 102.
