Perry E. Johnson, 88, of Groton, former longtime resident of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, December 19 2012. Born and raised in Somerville, Perry was a decorated veteran of WWII having served with Merrill's Marauders in Burma. Following his return from service, he married the love of his life, Ruthe T. Rego, who preceded him in death in 2005. Also preceding him in death was his eldest daughter Leslie and sister Carole Johnson.

Roland M. Hamilton, 89, of Pepperell, formerly of Groton, died at Apple Valley Center Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012. He was born in Arlington, Oct. 19.1923, son of James Clinton and Margaret (Dahlbeck) Hamilton. He grew up in Arlington and Lexington, graduating from Lexington High School in 1942.
