Selectmen Defer Action on Harassment Policy

Monday night, Selectmen deferred action on changes proposed by the Human Resources Department to merge the town's harassment policy and its sexual harassment policy into a single entity. Selectman Josh Degen asked if Town Counsel Kopelman & Paige had reviewed the changes and was told they had not.

Groton Line Editor Art Campbell followed up and asked if the town's Personnel Board had offered an opinion on the proposed changes. Personnel Board member Bud Robertson said they had not, adding, "We should have seen this as well."

The Board will consider the proposal after a review by the legal team and the Personnel Board.
