Sargisson Beach Cleanup Saturday, June 15,

8 a.m.-noon at Sargisson Beach Parking area. If you arrive late walk down to beach. Google Map: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Sargisson+Beach,+Groton,+MA Directions: Drive North on Whiley Rd. from 4-corners near Shaw's. Look for sign for Sargisson Beach Conservation Land on your left.

Come and meet fellow neighbors and Groton residents and help clean up the beach. It would be great to have a nice clean sandy beach for 4th of July and start of summer. Parents - come down for an hour before the kids get going and help. Harvester Committee is providing a large trailer to use to remove weeds... our job is to fill it up. The beach is in much better shape than last year, after a spring and fall cleanup, so this should be a much easier project.

Activity: Beach cleanup, raking and dead weed buildup on the beach. We will rake and shovel this into wheel barrows and deposit it in the weed harvester trailer. Wear gloves, closed toed shoes/hiking boots, long pants or bring bug spray. Hand tools: Garden rakes, shovel, pitch fork, snow shovel. Wheel barrow, or hand cart and barrell if you have access to one.
