Platt Builders Receives National Award

Platt Builders has received a "Best of Houzz 2013" Design Award. As the company celebrates its twentieth anniversary year, one of Platt's design innovations was among the most popular photographs viewed by 11 million monthly users who visit www.Houzz.com, a website featuring residential remodeling design ideas.

This accolade is just the latest of more than a dozen national awards earned by this local company in Groton center.

Platt's award-winning feature was part of a children's bedroom suite in an LEED-certified home that Platt Builders built. A secret passageway provides a kid-friendly connection between two adjacent children's rooms, each with its own tunnel doorway located below a set of built-in bookcases.
