Kauppi Proposes 'Consent Agenda' To Streamline Town Meeting

Town Moderator Jason Kauppi Town Meeting, suggested to Selectmen that using a so-called 'Consent Agenda' could streamline Town Meeting. Items placed on the Consent Agenda would be considered non-controversial, housekeeping items such as paying small bills.

Kauppi explained said that if a voter wanted to discuss one of the Consent Agenda items, they would ask the Moderator to 'Hold" and the item would then be brought up as a separate discussion at the meeting. He also suggested that consent items be brought up at the end of the meeting.
