BREAKING NEWS: Town Treasurer/Tax Collector Resigns Abruptly

Recently retired Town Accountant Valerie Jenkins has returned to Town Hall, this time serving as interim Finance Director, while Joan Tallent will serve as interim Tax Collector/Treasurer due to the unexpected resignation of Victoria Smith, who held that position for close to two years.

Town Manager Mark Haddad said he was thrilled to have someone of Valerie's background and expertise on board, especially as the town is preparing to float the bonds for the new Center Fire Station. Jenkins and Tallent will remain in their respective positions and assist with the transition until a permanent replacement is hired.
