3-Year Contract Signed With DPW & Water Dept. Employees; Incentives Paid Only If Job Performance Is Exceptional
Town Manager Mark Haddad announced that the negotiation with SEIU 888 has been completed. This covers the Department of Public Works and the Groton Water Department employees.
The three-year contract calls for a two percent increase each year for the next three years.
In addition, the incentive program language was cleaned up with incentives going only to those who exceed the expectations of the job, not just meeting expectations.
Incentives for stand-by for plowing and sanding will increase from $10.00 to $15.00 per hour. The increase from this contract in FY2016, FY2017 and FY2018 will total $56,221.
