New Food Drop-Off Site

Dear Editor,

I am very happy to announce that Groton Senior Center has partnered with Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Devens and we are now a drop-off site for Loaves & Fishes donations. Loaves & Fishes is a wonderful organization that provides food and temporary support services to residents of Ayer, Devens, Groton, Harvard, Littleton and Shirley. Groton Senior Center is open for donation drop-off Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Each month on the third Wednesday, Groton Woman's Club generously shops, cooks, and serves a free luncheon at the Senior Center which is followed by entertainment.  We would like to ask that beginning in April, each person attending the Woman's Club Luncheon bring one item to be donated to Loaves & Fishes. Their most needed items are canned meats, canned white tuna, helpers, boxed potatoes, boxed flavored rice, canned pears, canned pineapple, catsup, mayonnaise, pasta, pasta sauce, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, and deodorant.

This small gesture could help so many in need!!!
