LETTERS: 'It's the Community that Pays the Price'
To The Editor:
Good people, both full time and on-call live and breath the commitment it takes to be on the Fire Department. That's rarely the true problem. The real problem seems to be so many key players are indeed spoiling the reputation of the Department, in one way or another.
Unfortunately the spoils are dug in so deep and wide, it's a wonder if it will ever get repaired. Ultimately it's the community that pays the price. If the community can't trust the organization, the organization has failed the community.
