LETTERS: Hooper's Crew: Dedicated to Defeating Alzheimer's
Dear Editor:
Please visit our upcoming fundraiser at the Groton's Fireman's Muster on Labor Day, Sept. 1. Our organization, Hooper's Crew, is dedicated to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association. We started fundraising in honor of our family member, John L. Hooper, a Vietnam Vet and a retired Firefighter Captain for the town of Groton who lost his battle with Alzheimer's in 2011.
We will have many wonderful raffles from our great local supporters. Last year's generous donations included a $200 gift certificate from AGWAY, one day bounce house rental from Shepherd's, pizza from Groton House of Pizza, two haircuts from Sullivan's Barber, gift cards to Riverdale, Johnson's Country Butcher and the Townsend Ice Cream Factory, a sweatshirt provided by Greco Graphics, wood carving from our very talented Larry Smith of West Groton, along with many other fabulous miscellaneous baskets provided by other family and friends.
I have no doubt this year will be great also. Please swing by and visit our booth and purchase raffle tickets for our 50/50 raffle or some of our baskets.
Warm regards,
Hooper's Crew
