SENIORS: Independence Day Picnic at Senior Center

Wednesday, July 2 noon, Endicott, NY comes to Groton in a "Spiedie." Kathy will barbeque her hometown's favorite cuisine for seniors of Groton. 

Original idea for spiedie was brought by Italian immigrants to upstate NY in the early 1920s and cooked with goat or lamb meat. Today they come in a variety of meats. (We'll enjoy chicken spiedie.) They are grilled and eaten on buttered Italian bread-YUM! After lunch we will be entertained by former Groton COA Outreach Director Debbie Thompson and her band, Back to the Garden.
