NRWA 2015 Annual Meeting Thursday, Nov. 12

Nashua River Watershed Association invites all to the 2015 Annual Meeting Thurs., Nov. 12, 7 p.m., Devens Common Center, 31 Andrews Parkway, Devens. 

Robert Zimmerman, Jr., Executive Director of Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA), will give keynote address on "Urban Water Transformation: Innovation to Protect Water Resources in an Age of Climate Change." During Bob's tenure, CRWA has become a nationally recognized authority on science of water in urban watersheds, addressing stormwater pollution, water quality and quantity, habitat protection and restoration, sustainability, economics of water infrastructure transformation, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. 

NRWA will present its 2015 NRWA Conservation and Education Awards..  This year's Land and Water Conservation Award will be presented to Donnalee Lozeau, Mayor of Nashua, NH, and John Fisher, Nashua resident.  Susan Edwards, a filmmaker from Pepperell, will be honored with Environmental Education Award.  And our business supporters will be recognized for their valuable role in our ongoing work.

Meeting begins with social time, a chance to mingle with NRWA Directors, NRWA staff, other members and friends. Evening includes dessert, business meeting (election of officers and directors), awards, and keynote address. Tickets $20 per person. The business meeting and speaking portions of the evening can be attended at no charge.
