MY LIFE, My Health Course

Groton COA and Montachusett Home Care Corporation will co-sponsor a workshop series for chronic disease management, My Life, My Health, for adults experiencing chronic health conditions.  It will provide information and teach practical skills to manage conditions such as hypertension, arthritis, heart or lung disease, stroke and diabetes.  

Participants in the workshop learn how to exercise properly, eat healthily, use medications appropriately, solve everyday problems, and communicate effectively with family and health care providers-all positive life skills.  Participants who have completed the workshop series have reported improved mobility, an increase in energy, and are more confident in their ability to lead active and fulfilling lives.  

Classes held at no charge on six Thursdays beginning March 19, 1-3:30pm at Groton senior center. To register, call 978-448-1170. An optional introductory question and registration session will be held March 5 at 10 am at the senior center.
