LOCAL: Main Street Cafe Hosts Fifth Groton Summer Concert Series
Groton Summer Concert Series returns for its fifth year! Main Street Cafe, with cooperation from Groton Parks Commission announces the Summer 2014 lineup:
7/5 JD WEST, Acoustic Rock duo performing Modern and Classic Rock
7/1 2 TRUSTING FATE... Imaginative Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Roots & Blues
7/19 PATTY KEOUGH & Some Guys from Space (Kenny Selcer, Michael Miller, Phil Punch)
7/26 Spy Tones, original music in style of the classic '60s Surf Bands
8/2 PATTY AXFORD TRIO plays Jazz to Folk favorites
8/9 GS PICARD & FRIENDS, Cooper& Kenneally, Marty Nestor, Bob Pope.
8/16 SOUL FLYER, Rock & Blues for the soul!

Presented each Saturday from July 5-August 30, the live music shows will be held at Town Gazebo (Smith Pavillion) behind Groton Public Library, 99 Main St. (Rte. 119). Featuring well-accomplished, local musicians, shows are free (gratuities appreciated) and will run from 6-8 p.m.
Families are invited to attend the all-age shows. The Gazebo is located next to the library's playground, so parents can enjoy live music while the kids play. "A warm summer evening concert is a great way to spend time with the family and enjoy an old time small town setting," says Main Street Cafe co-owner Bob Wright.
