LOCAL: Boutwell Open House at Groton Historical Society
On Saturday, June 21, 11 am to 3 pm, Groton Historical Society is sponsoring an Open House of its headquarters, the Boutwell House at 172 Main Street. It will be a chance to celebrate summer and see changes made over the last three years with new exhibits, new gardens, and repair of previous damage.
New gardens were sponsored and installed by Groton Garden Club, Groton Woman's Club and Friends of the Trees. New exhibits tell stories of the Boutwell family and the house itself, which was built in 1851 and used as a museum for the Town of Groton since the 1930s.
Free for all, refreshments served.
