HAPPENINGS: GCT Vernal Pool Walk on Throne Hill

Join Groton Conservation Trust and biologists from the MA Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife on a walking tour of vernal pools Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m.. Spring is the perfect time to find blue-spotted salamander eggs, fairy shrimp, turtles, fingernail clams and many more creatures. Learn why these pools, and this property, are ecologically significant.  This is a perfect family-friendly event, but please no dogs. Water proof boots or goulashes are preferred as you will get squishy. Exploration will last about two hours. Meet in the Castle Drive Circle. Carpooling is appreciated!
