Gardening to Attract Birds

Groton Garden Club and Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) are co-sponsoring a free presentation "Gardening to Attract Birds" Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m., at NRWA River Resource Center, 592 Main St. (Rt. 119), Groton. 

Presenter will be Ellen Walther Sousa, author of The Green Garden: A New England Guide to Planning, Planting and Maintaining the Eco-Friendly Habitat Garden.  Ellen is an instructor and overseer for New England Wild Flower Society. 

Her own property, Turkey Hill Brook Farm, is landscaped for birds, pollinators, and many other forms of intriguing wildlife, www.thbfarm.com. 

The program is free and open to the public, made possible by a grant from Groton Trust Funds' Lecture Fund. In the event of inclement weather, snow date is Sunday, April 24; any postponement will be posted at www.NashuaRiverWatershed.org.
