Public Hearing Notice

Special Permit for Marijuana Retail Establishment

   In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, §§ 9 and 11, M. G. L., and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 7:00 PM to consider the application submitted by UC Retail, LLC under the provisions of Groton Zoning By-law Section 218-10.4 Marijuana Establishments.  The application is for a Special Permit to operate an adult-use recreational marijuana retail establishment to be located at 489 Main Street, Unit A, in Mill Run Plaza (Assessors’ Parcel 216-1.5).  The proposed marijuana retail establishment will occupy 2,188 square feet of space and will require changes to the exterior of the building, as shown on the site plan and architectural drawings provided with the application.  The project site is located at 489 Main Street, Unit A (Assessors’ Parcel 216-1.5).

Section 218-2.5 Site Plan Review – Seven Hills Group Home

   In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 40A, §§ 9 and 11, M. G. L., and the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 218, the Groton Planning Board will hold a virtual public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 7:00 PM to consider the application submitted by Seven Hills Extended Care Facility at Groton, Inc., under the provisions of Groton Zoning By-law Section 218-2.5, Major Site Plan Review.  The application is for a group home for disabled youth to be located on the northwest corner of West Street and Hillside Avenue (Assessors’ Parcel 109-52).  The proposed 5,200 square-foot, single-story home will consist of seven bedrooms with a total of 9 beds.  Two existing buildings will be razed and a small parking/drop off area will be constructed off Hillside Avenue.
