Chapter 40A, §§ 5 and 11, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 7:45 PM, in the Town Hall, to consider a Citizens’ Petition zoning map amendment submitted by Donald Van Dyne. The proposed amendment would rezone the property located at 797 Boston Road (Assessors’ Parcel 133-49) from Residential-Agricultural “R-A” to Neighborhood Business “NB”. The rezoning would allow the petitioner to apply for a special permit to construct an indoor pickleball facility on the property.

   Copies of the proposed zoning amendment are on file in the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Further, a signed translation of this public hearing will be provided for the hearing impaired upon request by contacting the ADA Coordinator at (978) 448-1105 at least one week prior to the hearing.

   The Groton Electric Light Department (GELD) is accepting bids for the procurement of Distribution Transformers.  The Bid package documents are available by emailing Tammi Lemire at tlemire@grotonelectric.org or calling 978-448-1150.  Bids will be received at the Groton Electric Light Department, 23 Station Avenue, Groton, MA 01450 until Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM.  Bids must be received in triplicate in a sealed, opaque envelope marked “BID FOR DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS BID NO. 905100-03”.

   GELD specifically reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities or informalities or to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of GELD.
