   In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Groton Historic Districts Commission (GHDC) will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, at 7:40 pm at The Groton Town Hall, First Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by John A. Walker, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 28 Willowdale Rd, Assessors Map 112-130 to repaint existing white masonry existing walls, existing green vinyl siding exterior walls, and black vinyl shutters to (3) exterior windows at the south end elevation facing Hollis Street. Copies of the application and supporting materials are available for review by contacting the GHDC via the Land Use Dept, 2nd floor of the Town Hall.

   In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40C, the Groton Historic Districts Commission (GHDC) will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, at 7:30 pm at The Groton Town Hall, First Floor Meeting Room, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA 01450. This meeting will be held to consider the application submitted by Gus Widmayer, seeking a Certificate of Appropriateness for 240 Main Street, Assessors Map 112-90 to remove the balustrade from the roofline. Groton Conservation Commission Public Meeting

In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Ch. 131, Sec. 40 and the Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 7:05 p.m. to consider an Amendment to Order of Conditions MassDEP#169-1210 for work at 601 Lowell Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 126-15).  The new work involves the construction of a garage at 601 Lowell Road as well as the demolition of an three existing residential structures at 599 Lowell Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 242-3).  The meeting will be held in the Groton Town Hall, 2nd Floor meeting room with the option to connect virtually via Zoom (subject to the Governor extending the remote meeting option) - please see https://www.grotonma.gov/events/ or call/email the office of the Conservation Commission at 978-448-1106 or conservation@grotonma.gov for details regarding this hearing.

Planning Board – Public Hearing Notice Citizens’ Petition Zoning Amendment – 797 Boston Road

   In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 40A, §§ 5 and 11, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 7:45 PM, in the Town Hall, to consider a Citizens’ Petition zoning map amendment submitted by Donald Van Dyne. The proposed amendment would rezone the property located at 797 Boston Road (Assessors’ Parcel 133-49) from Residential-Agricultural “R-A” to Neighborhood Business “NB”. The rezoning would allow the petitioner to apply for a special permit to construct an indoor pickleball facility on the property.

   Copies of the proposed zoning amendment are on file in the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Further, a signed translation of this public hearing will be provided for the hearing impaired upon request by contacting the ADA Coordinator at (978) 448-1105 at least one week prior to the hearing.

Chapter 40A, §§ 5 and 11, the Groton Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 7:45 PM, in the Town Hall, to consider a Citizens’ Petition zoning map amendment submitted by Donald Van Dyne.    The Groton Electric Light Department (GELD) is accepting bids for the procurement of Distribution Transformers.  The Bid package documents are available by emailing Tammi Lemire at tlemire@grotonelectric.org or calling 978-448-1150.  Bids will be received at the Groton Electric Light Department, 23 Station Avenue, Groton, MA 01450 until Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM.  Bids must be received in triplicate in a sealed, opaque envelope marked “BID FOR DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS BID NO. 905100-03”.

   GELD specifically reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities or informalities or to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of GELD.
