FY 2024 Budget Public Hearing

   The Groton-Dunstable Regional School District School Committee will conduct a Public Hearing on the Preliminary FY 2024 Budget at the Middle School South Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. After the presentation, the public will have an opportunity to comment. Copies of the preliminary budget will be available for review on the district website by Monday, February 6, 2023.

Conservation Commission Public Meeting

   In accordance with the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, M.G.L Ch. 131, Sec. 40 and the Groton Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Groton Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. to consider a Request for Determination of Applicability filed by Debra Dagle for the replacement of a sewage disposal system at 48 Hayden Road (Groton Assessor’s Parcel 137-17). Earth Removal-Stormwater Advisory Committee

Public Hearing

Hayes Woods Definitive Subdivision

   In accordance with the provisions of the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 198, the Earth Removal Stormwater Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 7:30 PM in person at the Town Hall, 173 Main Street, to consider the application submitted by Robert Kiley, Trustee, Maple Avenue Realty Trust, for approval of a Full Stormwater Management Permit for construction of a nine-lot subdivision  as shown on the plan entitled, “Definitive Subdivision & Flexible Development Plan, Groton MA, Hayes Woods,” prepared by Dillis & Roy, dated January 6, 2023. The proposed subdivision is located on Assessors Map 104, Parcel, on the easterly side of Pepperell Road.

   Copies of the application and plan are on file in the Land Use Department in the Town Hall. The Town of Groton does not discriminate on the basis of disability.  Further, a signed translation of this public hearing will be provided for the hearing impaired upon request by contacting the Planning Board at (978) 448-1105 at least ten days prior to the hearing.

Public Hearing

Groton School Field Improvements

   In accordance with the provisions of the Code of the Town of Groton, Chapter 198, the Earth Removal Stormwater Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 7:00 PM in person at Town Hall, 173 Main Street, to consider the application submitted by Groton School for approval of a Full Stormwater Management for field improvements as shown on the plan entitled, “Notice of Intent & Earth Removal Stormwater Permit, Track & Field Improvements,” prepared by Dillis & Roy, dated January 6, 2023.  The property, owned by Groton School, is located on Assessors Map 219, Parcel 9, 282 Farmers Row.

   Copies of the application and plan are on file in the Land Use Department in the Town Hall.    Bids will be received until 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the offices of the Light Department, 23 Station Avenue, Groton, MA  01450 at which time bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

   Bids must be received in triplicate in a sealed, opaque envelope marked “BID FOR 15 kV PADMOUNTED SWITCHGEAR, BID NO. 905100-01”

   The contract documents can be examined and obtained at the offices of the Groton Electric Light Department or received via email by calling 978-448-1150 or emailing Tammi Lemire at tlemire@grotonelectric.org.

Avoid late fees! Register your dog by February 28

   Annual dog registrations are due no later than February 28, 2023. The dog registration fee is $10 per spayed or neutered dog, $15 for an unaltered dog. The late fee, effective March 1, is $10 per dog. 

   Dogs can be registered at the Town Clerk’s Office, 173 Main Street, Groton. Office hours are Monday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Online registration is also available at www.grotonma.gov. Select the box on the homepage labeled Pay Online and scroll down to Town Clerk Documents. The Town Clerk’s Office may also be reached at 978-448-1100.

CAPITAL PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE

PUBLIC FORUM/HEARING ON PRESCOTT SCHOOL

   The Capital Planning Advisory Committee will hold a public forum/hearing on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Meeting Room of the Groton Town Hall, 173 Main Street, Groton, MA.  The purpose of the Forum/Hearing will be to discuss the future of the Prescott School, including the direction of the programs at the School and the subsequent needs of the building itself over the next five to ten years.  The Public is invited to attend and participate in this forum.
