The Groton Water Department will begin the Fall flushing of the water distribution system on Tuesday, October 24th and it will run thru Friday, October 27th , 2023. All water main flushing occurs during the daytime hours typically between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. We anticipate the flushing program will take approximately two weeks to complete.    In the event that you experience a prolonged period of discolored waters, we recommend that you stop using water for ten to fifteen minutes, then run all of your cold water taps for 5 to 10 minutes or until it clears up.
